17._ Individual

Each human individual appears essentially like a personal conscience, equipped with understanding and will to carry out its development, in search of survival and satisfaction in the relation with its surroundings.
Nevertheless this "willing conscience" that characterizes it is really an emergent quality of a very complex organized multiplicity: the human organism, that is compound as well of emergents of successively inferior levels, summarizing in itself the cosmic creative evolution. Its "ontogenesis" is part and reflect of the "cosmogenesis".
From this point of view, each "human ego" is the integrating peak, controller, dominating, of a "strongly organized mini-universe", a colectivity that has been unified until the threshold of emergence of that "willing conscience".

Naturally, the dependency of the "ego" of his constituent organism is enormous. He is like a rider who rides on a powerful mount, to which he must lead skilfully, smoothly, making use appropriate of his reins and gear; that great horse called "organism" and "unconscious", on which the individual willing conscience is mounted, is simultaneously docile and wayward. However, for the "ego", he is "himself", source of the necessities that he looks for to satisfy and the life that he wants to maintain and to prolong over the contingencies of the environment. The body is inlaid in a reality that simultaneously satisfies and threatens it, maintains and destroys it continuously, of that the "ego" wanted to seize completely for his benefit.

But on the other hand, the human individual is a "specimen", a unit of the human species. Not only because he has the common qualities to the individuals of his species, but because it is an "instance" of her, a servant hers as soon as, through the genetic mutability and its reproduction, provides to the species, in the set of the individuals, the evolutionary variety that will make its progress possible. To this quality of specimen the individual owes not only his life, but also his death, necessary to open the way to the evolutionary progression of new instances.

In addition, as soon as member of a culture and a social organization, the human individual receives and contributes the information necessary to structure his "ego" and the societies to that he belongs, in a dialectic that also serves to the progress of the human species, now as an owner and processor of information.

Of course, the human species also registers in the terrestrial ecosystem, and this one in the Universe, collaborating everything to the cosmic evolutionary development that tends God.
